For grown-ups

What these games teach

Content follows what a Reception class covers, week by week: phonics in the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised order (pure sounds, oral blending before print, tricky-bit teaching), and maths the NCETM Mastering Number way — subitising, careful counting, and making numbers to 10, deeply (composition, number bonds) rather than racing to big numbers. Every mechanic is grounded in published research — the project's docs list the studies.

  • Sound Pop — Letter sounds and digraphs (Little Wandle order)
  • Word Builder — Oral blending, word building and tricky words
  • Number Garden — Subitising, counting and making numbers to 10
